Another of the never-ending battles of the Thirty Years' War in Warlord Games Epic Scale. The clash of the vanguard units was a bit unfair, as the Catholics’ orders went off without a hitch, while the Swedish Alliance’s units moved at a snail’s pace (just 1 or 2 units per turn) which shifted the entire dynamic of the game to the Swedish (i.e., mine 🤣 ) side of the table. 

Apart from some skirmishing between pike blocks and dragoons, the main action took place on my right flank, where my cavalry managed to overwhelm the German cavalry; however, I wasn’t able to capitalize much on my victory on the flank because it was lunchtime in the meantime and we had to eat. 🥲 In terms of unit points, we both did basically the same amount of damage, so we called it a draw. 👌🏻
